Technical Level Designer

Fractured Light is an 8-week group project developed as a 2.5D puzzle-platformer with horror survival elements. Inspired by LittleBigPlanet, the game places players in a handcrafted town that is slowly collapsing into a hostile reality. Players solve physics-based puzzles, rescue townsfolk, and avoid creatures triggered by sound and movement, with a strong focus on atmosphere and environmental storytelling.

High Fidelity

In the high-fidelity phase, I placed finalized assets to replace placeholders and adapted the level design to better support gameplay, adjusting layouts and interactions to account for changes and technical limitations in implemented systems.

Block Outs

I was responsible for the full blockout of the second level, designing puzzles around the intended gameplay features. The level included clearly defined primary, secondary, and tertiary routes that utilized mechanics such as swinging, crawling, and pressure plates to support varied player paths and replayability.

Supporting Material

This stage focused on ideation, feature scoping, and sketching out level designs to evaluate which gameplay systems were feasible for the team and to determine how many stages could be realistically developed.
